Fourth of July offers a variety of fun in Oroville throughout the Day. The two main events are the Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce's Fly-In at the Oroville Airport and the Rotary Club's Fireworks Show. There will also be lots of entertaining activity throughout the Oroville Area. Scroll down to see a list of all events.

Saturday, July 2 at 7:00 pm or Sunday, July 3 at 2:00 pm
Cost: $10/Adult, $5/High School Student, Free/Children

Kick off your Fourth of July Celebration with the Oroville Community Concert Band and Chorus. For two days they will be performing "Unique Sounds of America" at the Historic Oroville State Theatre.

Annual Great American Ice Cream Social
Sunday, July 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Cost: Donation of $15/Adult or $5/Children Under 16
First Congregational Church, Corner of Bird & Oak Sts.
Cool down the day before for of July with some delicious treats at the First Congregational Church. Enjoy Pie, Ice Cream, Lemonade, Iced Tea and Coffee. There will also be a raffle with some exciting prizes.

Red, White and Blue Sunset River Drift
Sunday, July 3 starting at 6:00 pm
Cost: $10/Person, fee covers free concert, parking and day use of property.
Starts at Riverbend Park, 50 Montgomery St., and ends at Sunset River Resort, 64 Stuart Ct.
We meet at Riverbend, unload equipment, drive and park at Sunset, then shuttle back. This also gives you time to finish decorating, but please be sure that your decorations don’t interfere with you paddling safely. All kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and rafts must be decorated in patriotic colors and the best decorated crew wins a trophy, free drinks and a meal for two!
If you don’t have a kayak, just call the number below to check on rental prices and reservations. We have both single or tandem kayaks, so be sure to call early. Kids ages 12 that have not drifted river are asked to please ride in a tandem with an adult or in same raft or canoe. Please be sure to bring life vests, bug spray, water and wear water shoes in the event you may need to exit. For more details on rentals, overnight camping and drift information call 530.403.3948

Fourth of July Fly-In
8:00 am to 1:00 pm Oroville Airport, 225 Chuck Yeager Way The Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Fourth of July Fly-In including aircraft, airplane rides, formation flying demos, custom cars, motorcycles, food and vendors. There is no admission fee to view the fireworks since there is no single viewing location this year.

Q. What about restrooms and drinking water access?

If you plan on viewing from any of the viewing areas be sure to bring plenty of water as there are limited facilities. The Nelson Sports Complex has restroom facilities.
