The Oroville Rotary Club invites you to celebrate Independence Day this July 4th with Oroville Fireworks! The fireworks will be displayed from the Oroville Municipal Airport. Viewing is encouraged from your home if possible. There will not be public access at the Oroville Municipal Airport. Public areas around the airport will be accessible by personal vehicle to tailgate during the event. Please social distance according to Butte County Public Health guidelines. Don’t miss this amazing display! And don’t forget the fireworks start 30 minutes after sunset.

Information on Viewing The Oroville Fireworks
We are advising to view this year's fireworks show from your residence. The fireworks show will be using larger shells that can be viewed from a farther distance. If you plan on viewing the fireworks from a public space, please be advised of the following. These conditions are subject to change, so please check back for up to date information.
The Oroville Municipal Airport property will not be available for general public use.
The Clay Pits will not be open during July 4th.
The Rabe Road Shooting Range will not be open for fireworks viewing.
The following State Parks recreational areas will be open during their normal hours. The North Forebay and South Forebay will be open from 8:00 am to sunset. These areas will not be available for fireworks viewing.
The Afterbay will be open during normal hours, 1 1/2 hours before sunrise and 1 hour after sunset. It is anticipated a large number of people and boats may be on the Afterbay on 4th of July. Please keep in mind social distancing and after sunset boat speed will be restricted to 5 mph on water.
Riverbend Park and the Nelson Avenue Sports Complex will be open for tailgate viewing.
The Larkin Road boat ramp will only be available for cartop launching.
The Oroville Dam Spillway Boat Ramp will be open from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm with other Lake Oroville State Recreation Area boat ramps open 24/7. The fireworks will not be visible from Lake Oroville.
Butte County Public Health recommends persons maintain social distancing to protect public health or wear face coverings if social distancing is not possible.

There is no admission fee to view the fireworks since there is no single viewing location this year.

For detailed parking information, please refer to the viewing location you will be visiting.

Q. What about restrooms and drinking water access?
|
If you plan on viewing from any of the viewing areas be sure to bring plenty of water as there are limited facilities. The Nelson Sports Complex has restroom facilities.

Q. Can I reserve a picnic table?

For this 4th of July Fireworks event we are promoting that you practice social distancing by either viewing from home or in tailgate fashion from your vehicle.
