Each year the Oroville Salmon Festival celebrates the return of the salmon to the Feather River. This family-friendly event always takes place on the fourth Saturday in September. In 2024 the festival will be held on Saturday, September 28. You can scroll down to see what events you can expect in the 2024 Salmon Festival.

Friday, September 27
Salmon Dinner Hosted By The Oroville Economic Alliance
6:00 to 8:00 pm
Located at Centennial Plaza on the Levee behind the Oroville Convention Center
The public is invited to the Salmon Dinner on Friday, September 27 from 6-8 pm. The event will
be held outdoors at scenic Centennial Plaza on Arlin Rhine Memorial Drive in Oroville on the
banks of the Feather River in Oroville. This year’s Salmon Dinner will be catered by the talented chefs at The Union Restaurant.

Avie's Place 3K Color Run
Registration at 9:00 am, First Wave at 10:30 am
Registration at the Kingdom Community Church Parking Lot, Corner of Lincoln and Montgomery Sts.
Avie's Place Color Run is a fundraiser event for Avie's Place Park and Playground that will take place in Downtown Oroville at the Oroville Salmon Festival on September 28, 2023.
You will run a 3K course and get covered in colored powder as you go. Every runner will receive an Avie's Place T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses and help build Avie's Place!

Watch the salmon jump over the fish ladder and get up close with them at the viewing window. There will also be a mobile fish exhibit, nature related booths, live animals, and food available.

Come on down to the beautiful Historic Downtown Oroville for a variety of activities and things to see. The stores and restaurants that are a part of the Downtown Oroville area will be open for business with a variety of items and food to check out.
The Oroville YMCA will be open for restrooms and a cooling center. They will also have local groups performing inside and the LPO Alliance Band will be running a snack bar.
The Eagles Aerie FOE 196 will be serving their famous salmon burgers outside of their newly renovated window at the Eagles Hall.
The Oroville State Theatre will be hosting nature videos provided by the Department of Water resources. These videos will feature the natural wonder of the Feather River basin and a free to watch.
The Feather River Senior Center will be serving their delicious chicken salad croissant sandwiches and ice cream tacos.

- River Bend Park (view map) From Hwy 70, exit onto Montgomery Street and head west approximately 350 yards towards the Feather River. As you enter the park, there is a large archway that reads “Feather River – Catch the Dream”
- Parking Lot at Table Mountain Blvd. & Grand From From Hwy 70, exit onto Grand and head east. The parking lot will be located at 202 Mira Loma Dr.

Q. Do I have to buy tickets?

There will be tickets required for both the Friday Night Dinner and the Feather River Float. The rest of the event is free to attend.
