Halloween will be here on Wednesday, October 31 and there are a ton of ways to celebrate!
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Start your Halloween celebrations at the Feather River Recreation & Park District where they will be hosting their annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat. Their activity center will be decorated and there will be plenty of fun crafts for the kids. 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm The Butte County Sheriff’s Office continues their tradition of the annual Trunk or Treat Safety Fair. Public safety vehicles, public safety personnel, and more will be at the Nelson Sports Complex this evening. 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Looking for a completely kid friendly event? Head to the Oroville Church of the Nazarene for the Light Up The Night Harvest Festival. There will be pony rides, carnival games, live music, and much more. 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm For adults only, Feather Falls Casino & Lodge will be hosting a spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest. There will be $3750 given out in cash prizes during the night. 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm For those with little kids, Grace Baptist Church is having a Harvest Festival for toddlers to fifth graders. Games, candy, and prizes will be available in this safe environment. 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm The Christian Faith Center will be hosting a Fall Festival at their Oroville Campus location. Several cars will be decorated for a trunk or treat. 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm Finish off your Halloween celebrations at the Oroville State Theatre. The theatre presents Halloween Fright Night with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde along with the pipe organ master, Dave Moreno. General seating tickets will only be $10. We hope you have a festive, spooky, and safe Halloween! October is almost over, but there is still plenty to do in Oroville to celebrate. Over the next week there are activities for kids, for adults, and fun for the whole family.
October 20 Start the celebration off by heading to the Lake Oroville Visitor Center for their Annual Harvest Fest. Enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Oroville from their viewing tower while enjoying everything a festival has to offer; games, food, crafts and more. The festivities will be running from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. October 25 On Thursday bring your kids to the Hearthstone Charter School Harvest Carnival. Children will be entertained with the Dragon Theatre and Shakey’s Pizza is offering pizza for only $2 a slice. The carnival will be happening at the school from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. October 26 & 27 If you’re feeling hungry head to Gold Country Casino on either this Friday or Saturday evening at 6:30 pm. At this Murder Mystery Dinner come dressed as your favorite pirate as the Gibson House Mystery Performers present “Pirates of the Gulf”. A four course dinner is included with the entertainment for the price of $40 per individual and $70 per couple. October 27 Fill your whole evening with spooky events on this Saturday. Start off at the YMCA of Oroville for their new Halloween Carnival and some family fun. Admission is free and there is the opportunity to win at the game booths from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. At 7:00 pm the adults will have a night of fun ahead of them. In Historic Downtown Oroville several venues have banded together to bring you the Halloween Spooktacular. Specialty cocktails, treats, and music will be provided along with a costume contest. After you have experienced the bounty of Historic Downtown Oroville head up the hill to Gold Country Casino and Hotel for their event, A Nightmare on Olive Highway Halloween Party. For $15 experience a Spooktacular Nightmare in their Event Center until 1:00 am. October 28 Lastly, end your spooky week by spending time with zombies in the great outdoors of Oroville. Combat Zone Paintball Park is opening up their paintball fields for a Zombie Halloween Big Game. Pay $10 and play the game for prizes from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
